

Conrad was born on October 19, 1953, in Biggar, SK, to Ken and Mary Jewell. He grew up in Ruthilda, Rocky Mountain House, and later, Saskatoon, where he attended Prince Philip School and Walter Murray Collegiate. Conrad began working at a young age for his father, Ken, at KJ Texaco and later enjoyed working at Al Anderson’s. Conrad attended electrical school in Moose Jaw, becoming a journeyman electrician, and later in his career, he became an electrical foreman. Throughout his career, he worked in many locations, including Saskatoon, at several mines in Northern Saskatchewan, and Internationally in Kyrgyzstan.
Conrad loved numerous activities, such as camping and fishing in Northern Saskatchewan, golfing, boating, traveling, road trips around rural Saskatchewan always being sure to take the scenic route, gardening, collecting antiques, and sitting on the porch watching the world go by. In his youth, he was also an avid skier (snow and water) and enjoyed snowmobiling. He enjoyed working with his hands and was always ready to utilize his broad skill set to help others. Conrad loved music and never passed on the opportunity to see his favorite musicians and bands perform live. Conrad could often be spotted cruising around the city in one of his classic white sports cars.
Conrad was charismatic, quick-witted, and had a great sense of humor, telling many great jokes and even better stories. He loved to visit and looked forward to get-togethers with friends for morning coffees, lunches, or evening rum and cokes. Conrad loved to host dinner parties, and his family and friends were especially thrilled when his famous BBQ ribs were on the menu. Conrad had a heart of gold and was loved by all who knew him. He was patient, caring, and selfless. Conrad was a devoted father and grandfather who loved spending time with his girls, creating many lasting memories. His girls were his whole world.
Conrad is survived by and will be dearly missed by his loving daughters Chelsea Jewell and Kate (Daniel) Jewell, his darling grand-daughter Kahli Jewell, his companion and lifelong friend Jacquie Adams, his sisters Heather (Eric) Smith and Lori Jewell, several nieces, and nephews, as well as many loved-ones and countless dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Ken and Mary Jewell, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Conrad's Life will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday August 25, 2023 at Amigo's Cantina (806 Dufferin Avenue Saskatoon). Chelsea and Kate look forward to reading your memories and stories of their Dad.
