Dale was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to James and Lillian Boothman. As a youth, he was an elite athlete earning the nickname “Boot” among friends and teammates. His passion and talent carried him far, most notably to the 1984 Canadian Men’s 5-pin Bowling Championship, a proud moment in his athletic career. In recognition of his contribution in sports, he was inducted into the Saskatoon Sports Hall of Fame in 2008.
Dale devoted his career to Wallace Construction for over 40 years. His time with the company was defined not only by his hard work and reliability but also the bonds he formed friendships that became like family and remained important to him throughout his life.
In retirement, he enjoyed golfing, following his favorite sports teams and trips to Las Vegas with his life-long friends and brother.
Lastly, he was a deeply supportive father and encouraged his children in all their endeavours.
Dale was predeceased by his parents, James Boothman and Lillian Boothman.
He is survived by his daughter Brandi (Jesse) Zinter (Gull Lake), son Brad Boothman (Ponoka), his brother David Boothman (Edmonton), sister Shelley Turk (Moose Jaw), grandchildren Blake, Bo and Bentlee Zinter and Blaire Saunders (Ponoka).
