It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our son Daniel Elphie Bouvier. Daniel passed away May 25, 2025 peacefully at home. He left behind his parents Elphie Bouvier and Claudette Bouvier (Bouffard), sister Chantal Bouvier and nieces Sophie and Zoe Nobert; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Daniel was born in Saskatoon at RUH hospital where he spent his first two months in the NICU due to prematurity. Once well enough, Claudette and Elphie were able to take him home. They waited four years to adopt this bundle of joy and received him with open arms.
Daniel went to L’Ecole Canadienne Francaise and graduated from Walter Murray Collegiate. There he met many amazing friends that he called family. For post secondary, he attended carpentry school at the Prince Albert Polytechnic where he completed his journeyman carpentry certificate. Soon after he received his red seal interprovincial standard recognition. He took great pride in his accomplishments and studies. He spent many years working alongside his dad learning the craft of his trade. Dan loved to share his knowledge in carpentry and would help anyone who asked.
Unfortunately, life wasn’t always kind to Dan and things became more difficult, addictions grew, depression got bigger and everyday functioning became challenging. As a result, his health took a hard hit and the cycle continued. Dan always hoped that a better, happier life was waiting for him on the other side of sobriety. He never stopped trying and we never stopped hoping.
In lieu of flowers donations in Dan’s memory may be made to St Martyrs Parish.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Saint Martyrs Canadiens (1007 Windsor Street) with Fr. Gregory Roth Celebrant. Those unable to attend may view the service at https://www.youtube.com/live/vmqYT9MCSc4
