

September 3, 1958 – July 5, 2023
Dave passed away Wednesday July 5th, 2023 with his wife of 44 years at his side, after a long courageous cancer battle. He leaves to mourn his wife Corrinne, son Kory (Lisa Ma-Borsa), daughter Natasha Borsa (Jason Szeto), grandchildren, the apples of pappa’s eyes, Ariana, Dayde and Luella.
Dave is survived by his mother in-law Gertrude Giesbrecht, sisters Jean (Elwood), and Pat; Sister In-law Arlene (Irvine); Brothers in-law Ed, Ron (Ann), Bill, Al (Vicki), Murray (Mandy) as well as numerous nieces and nephews who all loved and supported him during his journey.
Dave was predeceased by his parents Bill and Barbra Borsa; Sister Grace Guyon; Father’s in law John Giesbrecht and Ivan Clemmensen.
Dave was born in Wakaw Saskatchewan, and raised in Saskatoon. One of Dave’s passions growing up was racing pigeons, he spent many hours in his pigeon coup caring for his birds. Dave and Corrinne married Sept 2rd 1978 and shared many years of joy and happiness raising their family. Dave loved the great outdoors and was an advent fisherman, he enjoyed every opportunity he had to go fishing. Dave joined the Canadian Tarpaulin team on February 14th of 1989 and remained there until the time of his illness on July 19th of 2019. (35 years). The Tarpaulin Industry was one of his greatest passions. Dave was a very kind compassionate person who loved people!
At this time Corrine, Kory and Natasha would like to give our biggest thank you to Dr. S. Ahmed, Tracey, Dr. Mozer, Dr. Giuther, Dr. Gowing and Dr. Moodley. In Dave’s words, and we could not agree more, “What an amazing team I had, the genuine care and support will never be forgotten!!”
As per Dave’s wishes, there will be no formal service held. Daves wishes were to be scattered at his favourite fishing spot.
