It is with great sadness the family of David Huber announces his sudden passing after having a stroke. David is survived by his wife Karen, daughters Jennifer (Candace), Suzanne (Ayat) and granddaughter Aria. David is also survived by his siblings John, Philip (Mary), Rudy (Faye), Gerald (Arlene), Bill (Joh-Anna), Melvin (Elaine), George, Marjorie (Paul), sisters-in-law Lois, Arla and Pat, brother-in-law Rudy W, and many nieces and nephews. Dave was predeceased by his parents Rudy and Mary Huber, sisters Wilma, Marie, Laverna and Frances, brothers Carl, Ed, Jim, nephews Kent Huber, Noel Hammerlindl and Dustin Thiessen, and nieces Lisa Huber and Kathleen Huber. Dave grew up in Scott, SK. After high school Dave worked as an electrician in Frobisher Bay and Inuvik, Edmonton and Regina before moving to Wilkie and starting his career with CP Rail where he worked in Wilkie, Biggar and Saskatoon for 35 years. Always sports-minded, Dave played hockey, baseball, curled and golfed. After Dave retired from CP Rail, he umpired in the summer months, which he absolutely loved. David enjoyed travelling with Karen across Canada, most of the United States, Mexico and Europe. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 29, 2019 at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church (3339 Centennial Dr.) in Saskatoon.
