

Diana Pickett, also known as Dino to many friends and family, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2022 surrounded by her family. Diana’s smile and infectious spirit lifted everyone around her. She was a true gift to all who knew her.
Diana was born in Saskatoon on November 20, 1948 to Frank and Rose Gessler.
Diana was one of six children in her family. She and her twin brother David were the youngest, following her brother Raymond, sister Dolores (deceased), sister Lenore and brother Gerry.
Diana was married to her loving husband Brian in 1968. Diana and Brian enjoyed 54 wonderful years together prior to her passing.
Diana was mother to three children. Darren who passed away unexpectedly at the age of three in 1971, Jeff who was born in 1971 and Kevin who followed shortly thereafter in 1972.
Family was everything to Diana and gave her so much joy and purpose. She loved spending time with her seven grandkids and watching them flourish in their activities. She will be missed by them all. Riley, Riece and Abby (children of Jeff and Stacy) and Emily, Carter, Aiden and Cassidy (children of Kevin and Janet).
Golfing and Curling were both passions of Diana, she loved to be with friends. She also enjoyed volunteering her time to may causes. The Ronald McDonald House was very special to Diana and she donated countless hours to it.
The family would like to pay special thanks to the wonderful staff from the Palliative unit at St. Paul’s Hospital where Diana spent her final days.
A Celebration of Diana’s Life will be held at the Saskatoon Golf & Country Club (865 Cartwright Street, Saskatoon) on September 1, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Society of Saskatchewan (2430 8th Avenue Unit C Regina, SK S4R 5E3). Arrangements entrusted to Travis Minor.
