Donna was the daughter of Norman Charles Patterson Pierce and (Mary) Noriene (Anglesburg) Pierce. She has one brother Bernard "Bud" Norman Pierce and a predeceased infant sister (Mary) Theresa Pierce.
Donna grew up in the Lintlaw district and later moved to Glen Bain with her parents. In her younger years she attended school in both of these communities. She then moved to Saskatoon to attend Robertson Secretarial School. When she graduated she secured a job with Simpson Sears, where she happily worked for many years. She later quit her job at Sears to become a full time caregiver to her mom until her passing. Later on Donna returned to the work force to busy herself and worked as a sales clerk at Cleo’s, another job she loved doing. Donna lived many years in the suite of Norman and Noriene’s house in Saskatoon. Living the best life with family.
Donna always had a smile for others and loved meeting people. She could easily start a conversation with strangers. It was these qualities that made her a very successful sales person. At every family event, we all knew Donna would be around with her camera, taking candid shots of everyone. She later gave pictures and albums to others who were at each function. The events captured in these pictures, creates beautiful memories over the years, which she shared with us.
She was a devout Catholic and was a 34-year member of the Lintlaw CWL. She was an avid needle crafter and made many ceramic items for family and friends. Later years she loved to help Norman in the garden and care for her flowers. She enjoyed a number of winters in the US during our cold months.
May she rest in peace, along with her mother and father.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 8, 2023 at St. Francis Xavier Parish (222 Willow Street, Saskatoon).
Arrangements entrusted to Ashley Knash.
