Doriana Angela Frassetto-Meakin

Doriana was predeceased by her parents Marcello and Tecla Frassetto, father-in-law Stan Meakin, uncle Armando and aunt Rocchina Frassetto, and other extended family relatives in Italy and Canada.

Doriana was born at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon, went to elementary school at St. Gerard, and high school at E.D. Feehan. After high school she completed the nursing program at SIAST, and for the past 4 decades has worked as a Registered Nurse in Regina and Saskatoon. Her career was spent primarily working in the ICU department at St. Paul's Hospital, and lately at the Cardiac Short Stay department at Royal University Hospital. Her calling in life was one of caring for others, and she helped save the lives of countless patients, while also touching the lives of their families and her co-workers doing the work she so much loved.

Doriana is survived by her loving husband Tim Meakin and their son Luca; her sister Liliana (Les) Fabian - Sofia; cousin Angelo (Kim) Frassetto - Olivia, Nadia, Vittoria, Francesca; cousin Gino (Michelle) Frassetto - Gino, Gianna; cousin Donna-Marie - Juliana; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives in Italy. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Lucia Meakin; sister-in-law Shawne (Jim) Beaulieu - Brandon; brother-in-law Dan (Kelly) Meakin - Jennifer, Kaitlin, Daniel; brother-in-law Jeff (Tanya) Meakin - April; brother-in-law Chris (Bonnie) Meakin - Ryan; and sister-in-law Tracy Lewis.

The family would like to thank Glengarda Hospice. A Mass of Christian Burial is being planned for a TBD date near the end of January, to take place at St. John Bosco Catholic Parish. Details to follow in the near future.
