Doris slipped away peacefully after a lengthy battle with several challenging medical conditions. She passed with loving family members by her side on Sunday, July 10 at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. Doris was predeceased by her parents, James and Clara Watt. Doris is survived by and will be dearly missed by her husband of 44 years, Gary Lintick; Gary’s children, Rick Lintick (Linda) of Loreburn, Sheila Merk (Kim) of Regina and Terri Parent (Sheldon Prost) of Saskatoon; Doris’ two sons, Jim Reader (Marion) of Okotoks, AB and Gerry Reader (Donna) of Saskatoon, and their father, Bill Reader of Regina; her sister, Jean Watt of Saskatoon; her cousin Phyllis Watt of Surrey, BC; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her passion for home decorating, Doris loved bargain hunting for designer clothing and was always generous in showing and sharing her treasures. In earlier years Doris was employed with Sears and The Bay in Saskatoon and Boes in Polo Park, Winnipeg. The family extends their gratitude to the many medical professionals who cared for Doris during her time in all three Saskatoon hospitals. A special thank-you to Doris' long-time family physician Dr. Karen Marushak. In a private ceremony, Doris will be interred beside her parents in the Hamiota, MB Cemetery.
