Edith Ann Daoust

February 20, 1945 – June 9, 2025
Obituary of Edith Ann Daoust
IN THE CARE OF

Mourning Glory Funeral Services

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Edith Daoust on June 9th from dementia.

Edith is predeceased by her parents Mary (Olajos) and Joseph Punk. She is survived by her loving husband Gerald Daoust, her children - Vicky (Don), Dave (Katie), and Mark, her grandchildren - Owen (Sunny), Evan (Kaitlyn), Erin, Ryan, Leo, Amira, Rick, Andrew and Sarah and by her great grandchild Atley.

Edith was born on the family farm in the RM of Invergordon, SK on February 20, 1945. She attended school in Waitville and Crystal Springs before moving to Saskatoon to attend University. Edith and Gerald met and were married Oct 17, 1964. They lived in Saskatoon and raised 3 children. In 1979 they purchased an acreage near Dalmeny and moved their family to the farm.

Edith loved to stay active. Edith and Gerald took the family on many camping trips where fishing, waterskiing and campfires with family and friends made for fantastic weekends! She was an intense vegetable gardener because store bought stuff doesn’t taste as good! Canning and preserving her harvest guaranteed that the family would have quality food all winter. She was in a bowling league for many years where she made many lifelong friendships. She even tried her hand at broomball. When Edith and Gerald moved to the farm, they became partners in the business of raising purebred cattle. Their later years included may trips to cattle and bull sales where many more lifelong friendships were made.

A memorial gathering will be planned for a later date.

Cremation has been entrusted to Morning Glory Funeral Home
