

Elaine Anne Parker passed away peacefully on January 2, 2015 at the age of 83. Elaine was born to the late Cecil and Doris Atter in Weyburn, SK. She grew up and completed her education in Halbrite, SK and went on to work for SaskTel in Rouleau and then Moose Jaw, where she met her first husband, the late Mervyn Parker. They began their married life in Moose Jaw and moved to Saskatoon in 1966. Elaine was a loving mother and homemaker, who when not following her gardening passion enjoyed travelling, fishing, and the company of many friends. Following the passing of Mervyn, Elaine met and married the late Claire Huggins, with whom she shared 17 happy years.
Elaine is survived by her three sons, Ron (Ginny), Dave (Lynn), and Ray (Barb); brother David Atter and her sister Shirley Sparks; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Cecil and Doris Atter, husbands Mervyn Parker and Claire Huggins, and brothers Clarence, Larry and Duane.
The Funeral Service will be held at Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre (915 Acadia Drive), on Thursday, January 8th at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan (1231 8 Street East, Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5) or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
