We are heartbroken at the loss of our beloved Emily who died suddenly Sunday May 18. Emily is survived by her parents, Jean and Eric Slocombe, grandfather H.H. “Red” Slocombe (Diane), brother Hugh (Lisa San Fillipo) Mykenzie, Shadrach, Liberty, Levi and Ruby of Calgary, sister Maggie Clarke (Evan) Owen, Abigail, Lorenzo and Aurora of Saskatoon, brother John (Chantelle) Navy, Copper, Indie and Story of Ottawa, and brother Ben of Calgary. Our heartfelt gratitude to the residents of Round Lake for their search and rescue efforts. Emily was born in Saskatoon and raised in Winnipeg and Saskatoon. She loved home schooling and her friends at the Young Actors Club. She was extremely creative and musically talented. She loved sewing, gardening, her dog Dolly, art and photography and the gang at the Broadway. “Emily was a firework. She exuded mysterious, exciting, magnetic energy. She made us feel alive. Life was always sparkling and thrilling when she was close by. We set off on adventures of lands near and far. Emily found beauty and wonder in the world that most people could not recognize. To be loved by Emily made you a little bit more magical” (Aryn Otterbein.) Viewing for family and friends will be on Sunday, May 25, from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre (915 Acadia Dr., Saskatoon). Funeral services will be held Monday, May 26, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (corner of 10th Street and Cumberland Ave., Saskatoon). Arrangements entrusted to Lisa Bos.
