Grace Elizabeth Hession (nee Porter) passed away on August 21, 2022. Grace was predeceased by her husband Victor Charles Hession and three brothers Andrew Porter (Thelma), Robert Porter (Valerie) and Jack Porter (Virginia). She leaves to mourn her two daughters Grace Hession David and Virginia Irene von Dewitz, her two grandchildren Ysabelle Anastasia von Dewitz and Patrick Ernest Dillon along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Grace attended Buena Vista School, Nutana Collegiate and the University of Saskatchewan here in Saskatoon. She received her Nursing degree in 1939 from the Toronto Western Hospital in Toronto, Ontario.
Grace proudly served overseas as a Lieutenant Nursing Sister during World War II with the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corp. She returned to Canada after the war where she pursued her career as a nursing practitioner for the Government of Saskatchewan until her retirement in 1986.
The Funeral Service will be held at Mourning Glory-Acadia McKagues Funeral Centre, 915 Acadia Drive on Tuesday August 30, 2022 at 11:00 am. No flowers please.
Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
