Graeme was born in Saskatoon, SK on February 25, 1979, and enjoyed his childhood on the farm around pets and livestock with all the joys and formative experiences farm life brings. He excelled at all sports, playing minor ball and hockey in Watrous, Bantam AA hockey in Warman, Midget AAA hockey in Tisdale, Junior hockey with the Humboldt Broncos, the Lethbridge Hurricanes (WHL) and University of Saskatchewan Huskies.
Graeme made ASL Paving his work home for many years, working as an equipment operator and foreman; roles that reflected his strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in a job well done. He made many friendships there and loved his grader.
A devoted father, Graeme's greatest joy in life was his daughter, Olivia. He was her steady presence, her protector, and her biggest supporter. Everything he did was guided by his love for her and his desire to give her a life filled with love, laughter, and opportunity.
Outside of work, he found peace and enjoyment on the golf course, where he appreciated the quiet moments, fresh air, and simple pleasure of the game with good friends. He was proud to teach Olivia to golf too. Those who knew him will remember his calm nature, kind heart, and willingness to help others without expecting anything in return. He had a way of making people feel at ease and was deeply respected by friends, coworkers, and family alike. Graeme was a friend to everyone and had a beautiful smile.
Graeme is survived by his precious daughter Olivia, Olivia’s mom Terra, his father and mother David and Joyce, brothers Carl (Kelly) and Eric (Andrea), nieces and nephews Carys, Liam, Vittoria and Hunter as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Graeme will be missed by all who knew him – a beautiful person gone too soon.
A special message for his daughter:
“Your dad loved you more than anything in this world. He was so proud of you and will always be with you — in your heart, in your strength, and in all the moments where you feel brave, kind, and loved.”
