Halina Helen Victoria Wileniec

August 21, 1924 - August 4, 2012

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our loving

mother and grandmother surrounded by family at Royal University

Hospital. Pre-deceased by husband Mieczyslaw (John) (1996) M.D. and

survived by son Mark (Sue), grandchildren Andrew, Lindsay, Michael,

Daniel, and Matthew, and daughter Anne (Ken) Ballantyne,

grandchildren Jonathon and RaeAnn; sister Jadwiga Owczarek, niece

Joanna and nephews Janusz and Christopher (Ania), grandnephew

Brendon, and extended family. Helen was born and raised in Warsaw,

Poland, and came to Saskatchewan with her husband in 1951. Initially

working as a nurse, she supported her husband`s medical practice and

devotedly raised her family. Helen always maintained a positive

perspective on life, taking special interest in the lives of her

family, encouraging and accepting the changes life brings. Always

supportive and caring, she never hesitated to give of herself,

cherishing her family, friends, and faith. Thank you to all RUH staff

for the care and support given to her. Services will be at St.

Augustine Parish: Prayer Service 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 9th and

Mass 10:30 AM on Friday, August 10, 2012. Interment at Hillcrest

Memorial Gardens. Donations can be made in her name to the Heart and

Stroke Foundation. Arrangements in care of Acadia-McKague's Funeral Centre(955-1600).
