Mrs. Heather Catherine Sotnikow

Heather C. Sotnikow, age 68, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. She was born May 18, 1957, in Saskatoon to Frank and Catherine (Murray) Becvar.

Heather was a 1975 graduate of Mount Royal Collegiate, and married Glen Sotnikow on September 4, 1976, in Saskatoon. She stayed at home when the kids were small and then started with Saskatoon Public Schools when the kids were older. She was a proud grandma to her grandkids and was their biggest supporter in all of their pursuits, driving in blizzards to catch their hockey games. Later, when her health kept her closer to home, she made sure to watch as many games as possible online.

Heather is survived by her husband Glen, son Michael (Jodi) Sotnikow, daughter Theresa Sotnikow, grandkids Drake and Sway Friesen, Kayden and Owen Sotnikow, brothers George Becvar and Rich (Laura) Becvar, and many nieces and nephews.

Many thanks to the Doctors and Nurses of St. Paul’s Hospital “B” wing who cared for Heather in her final weeks.

A Come and Go Celebration of Life will be held at Mayfair United Church on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
