It is with great sorrow the family announce the passing of Helen Fedorchuk on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at the age of 92 years. Helen will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children: Judy (Joe) Fransoo, Lorraine (David) Grier, Maureen (Noel) Jenson and David (Tracey) Fedorchuk; eleven grandchildren: Paul (Shelly), Robb (Sarah) and Nic (Megan) Fransoo, Rachel (Micah) Friesen, Mitch, Jennifer (Jeremy) and Peter Grier (Natasha), Nena and Price Jenson (Julia), Grace and Matthew Fedorchuk; thirteen great-grandchildren: Cole, Josh and Nate Fransoo, Elise, Spencer, Corbin and Sadie Fransoo, Hannah, Henry and Claire Fransoo, Sarah, Levi and Rebecca Friesen; siblings: Jean Shipman, Steve (Margeurite) Kowbel and Adele (Ray) Tremblay; brother-in-law: Joe Tirk; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Helen was raised on the family farm near Lanigan, SK and became a hairdresser in the area once she started working. She married Joseph Fedorchuk in 1949 and lived in various communities in the Humboldt area, finally settling in Saskatoon. Helen and Joe made many good friends in each community that they lived. The family wish to extend a thank you to the staff at The Arbor at Stonebridge Crossing. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Society of Saskatchewan (1405 Faulkner Cres., Saskatoon, SK, S7L 3R5). Vigil for Helen will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2018 with Rev. Father Nestor Gregoire, OMI celebrant. Both services will be held from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church (535-8th Street E., Saskatoon). Rite of Committal will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
