So sorry to hear about your loss, and how late I am about it too! I just wanted to say how wonderful of a softball coach Ida was and she was so passionate about it! My condolences to Marvin, Jodie, Logan, Cayden, & family. Ida was a very knowledgeable coach who became a friend and a "grandma" to so many of us. She always had something positive to say, even after a bad game. The last few years I have enjoyed many visits with her at the ballpark. After coaching she became one of our best fans. She cheered for me lots and she cared so much about us ballplayers that she once coached. We will miss her greatly and will always remember her.

I was privileged to meet Ida because of our mutual love of Softball.
We watched many games in Western Canada.
I appreciated that we had many Blunt , honest conversations.

I will miss seeing and talking you at the ball park and when out and about.

You were one of the good people.

My deepest condolences to the Nerbas family. I had the pleasure of working with Ida for 9 years at LBP. She always had a smile for everyone who arrived at the front office and was outstanding at her job. Ida was passionate about softball and ringette. So many kids and adults had the wonderful opportunity to receive guidance from Ida as their coach.  The Saskatoon sports world will feel the loss of a great mentor and supporter with Ida’s passing.

Ida gave so much compassion and love to everyone she met. Always 1st to say hello, sing a song, or help out a friend or stranger. She loved making people laugh and helping you when you were down.  She was the 1st one to get to know me and greet me at Howard Coad, and I will always cherish all the memories. She chevked in when I was struggling, and always so loving. I will miss her. It was an honour to work with Ida.  She encouraged, nurtured, brought joy and just enough tough love to keep us on the right path. Ida and I shared so many laughs and tears.  I adored her and I will miss her so much.  Sending love and prayers.

Ida was secretary at River Heights when my kids attended and I was lucky to get to know her during those years.  She was always so friendly and welcoming and had the obvious respect of staff and students.  She came to my home for a casserole exchange when my son was in about grade 2 or 3.  He was so excited to have this "school celebrity" in his midst and he insisted on garnishing her drink with a cocktail umbrella.  She took that umbrella to school with her and every time my son's class would walk by her desk she would twirl the umbrella between her fingers or stick it behind her ear, much to my son's delight.  She had it in her desk for years.  My condolences to her family - a bright light like hers will be greatly missed.

I was so sorry to hear of Ida's passing. Ida was the head secretary at one of the schools where I taught.  I was a beginning teacher and Ida took me under her wing as she did everyone in the school and the wider community.  Ida took her job very seriously and she excelled at it.   Along with her competence, she had compassion and a delightful sense of humour which we all enjoyed.  Ida adored her family.  She will be missed.

Marvin, Jodie, Jared and your families our deepest sympathy at the passing of Ida-Marie.  We first met Ida in 1976 at Lester B Pearson Community School, the year the school opened.  Ida was the secretary, though General Manager, would have been a more appropriate title.  She knew all the students, their families and the community.  We had a young, inexperienced staff, full of enthusiasm, mischief, parties, and a common bond. Ida was known to initiate many of the pranks and was always good natured about being on the receiving end.  Ida was proud of her family, the schools she worked in, and the Pacific Heights Community, their family home for many years.  She was widely known in the Saskatoon Softball Community and a “super fan” of the Saskatoon Blades.  Ida was a caring person, whether is was a small child, a new family, or a staff member.  She was a “pistol” with a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Lots of fond memories. She will be missed.

Jodi I am so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. She fought a hard fight as did you all. May all your precious memories help you get through the next few weeks and may God keep you in his care as you go through your grief journey.

I taught at LBP  many years ago when Ida was the school secretary. What a delight she was!! She was the perfect person to meet and greet all those walking through the front door. Her laughter, good humour, and compassion were enjoyed and appreciated by everyone. Ida's fun loving nature spilled over into the staff room, and her she loved a good practical joke. I can still her her laughter after all these years.
Rest in peace, Ida. You will be remembered with great fondness.

I am so sorry to learn of Ida’s passing. I worked with Ida at Lester B. Pearson School. She was a true gem. Her cheerful personality brightened many a dreary day. My condolences go out to the family. She will truly be missed. I am so sorry that I will be out of town on Saturday. I would loved to attend her service. RIP Ida.

My memory of Idamarie was there wasn’t a time that I spent with her that there wasn’t laughter. I just loved to go to her place when I was young . We were related . Her mom was my first cousin. Her grandma and my dad were brother and sister. She had a heart of gold .She will be sadly missed.My condolences go out to Marvin and his family and all the extended families.

Ida-Marie, you will be so missed. You left a positive imprint on the world and touched the lives of so many young people.  Your passion and compassion were evident in everything you were involved with. I have so many fun memories of you from my 7 years as a teacher at Lester B. Pearson School. We were all so young and had so much energy!  As head secretary, you were much of the glue that held us together as a pseudo family! You were cheerful, very approachable,, spoke your mind when it was needed and always willing to go that extra mile for the benefit of someone else.  Still etched vividly, in my memory is the day a mouse ran across our staff room floor during recess.  Somehow, you managed to propel from your chair to the middle of the table.  An amazing  feat!  Rest In Peace, dear Ida. Heaven gained a good one for all eternity.

Ida  was  such a good friend to me in so many ways.  We opened up LBP school together.  She always had my back - saving me on many a hot lunch day. Ida had the gift of being able to relate to people of all ages - upset kindergarten kids, boisterous middle years students, and stressed parents and staff. She was a magnet for wee lost  souls. So respected, always willing to help others and will be missed. So sorry for your loss. 

So sorry to see this though I knew she was fighting a hard battle.  Mrs. Nerbas was a fixture at LBP and around the neighborhood all through my youth.  An awesome lady who I sincerely hope enjoyed her retirement years with friends and family as she deserved it!  My thoughts with her loved ones...
