Jean is survived by her children Roger (Shanna) Lux and Peggy (Mike) Northcott; grandchildren: Halyna and Milla Lux, Hailey and Lexi Northcott; siblings: Jeannette (Dennis) Strodeur, and Vivian Krogstad; numerous in- laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Jean was predeceased by her husband Leon Lux, her parents Gerald and Estelle Callaghan, her siblings: Wilfred, Mary (infancy), Norbert, Bernadette, Richard and nephew: Brent Callaghan.
Mom was very devoted to her family and always lived and encouraged a faith filled life. She loved spending time with her family and helping to lighten the load in any way possible. In the earlier years she was only a phone call away to help with a fussy grandchild. In the summertime she could often be found weeding our flower beds while we were at work. It was not uncommon for her to stop by with a dish for dinner or just to fold a load of laundry. Mom always wanted to be of help.
Outside of immediate family life, Jean loved spending time socializing and supporting friends and family. She made many road trips traveling to see family and friends within driving distance. In the winter she spent time in Arizona partaking in potlucks, dancing and fundraising activities. She was always up for a game of cards, dice or tile rummy. If she was not busy socializing she could be found watching the Blue Jays, Raptors, Oilers and Rough Riders.
The family would like to thank the St Paul's Hospital wonderful Palliative Care team. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saskatoon Friendship Inn.
