It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Joan. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in October of 2023. She was the best wife, mother, grandma, gram, cousin and friend. She will be sadly missed by all. She is survived by her daughter, Lori (Brad) Fraser; their children, Paige (Joe) Basset, Ryley (Taylor) Fraser; son, John (Charlene), their children; Brandi, Bryston (Maddy), Bailey; great grandchildren; Lennon, Leo, Brielle, Cooper, Quill, Xavier; brother-in-law; Jim (Kathleen) Campbell and family; Irene Campbell and family; special cousin Norma Sparrow. She was predeceased by her husband Jack Campbell; her parents Olive and Al Ullman, Minnie, Howard Campbell; sister-in-law Edith, brother-in-law Alec. Gram’s family was her pride and joy and there was nothing that she wouldn’t do for them. She loved to attend numerous hockey games, dance recitals, birthday parties, graduations and all special celebrations. She loved to spend summers at the lake and fall at the farm. She was always very involved in anything to do with helping her community. She enjoyed her social outings in Saskatoon with her cousins and sitting in her chair watching curling on TV. She loved to stay connected with friends and family on Facebook and was always talking to someone on the phone. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Colonsay Recreation Board (Box 190 Colonsay, SK S0K 0Z0) or the Breast Cancer Foundation. The Memorial Service for Joan will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2024 at the Colonsay Community Hall (109 Torran Street). There will be a private family burial at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest. Arrangements in care of Thea Katchmar.
