Joan is survived by her husband, Roger and their children Todd (Shelley), Dean (Ikumi), Cheryl, Pamela (Paul) and Kyle (Cheyenne), her grandchildren, Jonathon, Keir, Mackenzie, Teryn, Kamron, Jared, Leo, Cy, Rhys, Leila and Evyn, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brother Allan (Penny) Stuckel, and brothers-in-law Lorne Egger and Ron (Jeannie) Egger. Mom was pre-deceased by her parents William and Marie (Bedard) Stuckel.
The consistent theme in mom’s life was having strong social connections. Her love for her family kept her and dad on the road travelling to spend time with their children and grand & great-grandchildren in the numerous places they resided across western Canada and abroad. When mom was at home, getting together with her many good friends for fun and giving them unconditional care and support was a daily priority, as was looking forward to visits from her immediate and large extended family.
Mom loved to stay busy involving herself as a partner with dad in the family business, homemaker, and working outside the home in various roles. She enjoyed taking walks, reading, crossword puzzles, playing piano, listening to music, attending musical performances and live theatre, creative crafts, golfing and travelling.
