Joan Lillian Olynick

April 26, 1950 - December 1, 2014

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and auntie. Joan will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 29 years, Murray; children, Lon Perreault, Joely Loehndorf (Brent), Charla Adrian (Kimble), Regan Olynick and Ashley Olynick; grandchildren, Logan, Colton, Briana, Sydney, Paige, Mikayla and Peyton (Joan's little Boo Boo); sister, Jane Krupski (Dennis); mother-in-law, Helen Olynick; sister-in-law, Evelyn Figiel; brothers-in-law, Ed (Brit) Olynick and Ken Olynick; as well as many nieces and nephews. She will also be sadly missed by her extended daycare family (better known as Auntie Joan). Joan was predeceased by her parents, John and Bea Brockmeyer; and father-in-law, Steve Olynick. Joan will be remembered for her kind, gentle, fun loving nature and her contagious laugh that warmed everyone's hearts. Through her compassion and affection for all, she was a true friend to everyone. Many thanks to the unrelenting support and care from the health care team at Royal University Hospital, in particular the 6100 unit. Also to the Palliative Care at St. Paul's Hospital and special thanks to Dr. Giede and her nurse, Cathy. Memorial donations may be made to Cancer Research (20 Campus Dr, Saskatoon, SK S7N 4H4).
