

Joanne was born in Saskatoon, SK on June 7th, 1971. Joanne lived her entire life in Saskatoon. She graduated from E D Feehan Catholic High School in 1989. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Education at the University of Saskatchewan. While Joanne chose not to follow this career path, she greatly impacted the careers she held. Joanne spent 15years at MacDonalds as a manager. She went to work in sales at SaskTel in two of their stores. It was after that, that Joanne decided to follow Keith, with great objections from Keith, and became a Special Constable. Joanne was sworn in on January 4th, 2012. She remained an active member with Saskatoon City Police, in Police communication/911 until the day of her passing.
Joanne met the love of her life Keith in 2002 at the sneaky hand of Bobbi. Their love story began November 13th, 2002. While Joanne knew Keith was the man she was going to marry, Keith in fear of marriage, and attempted to hold out for 11yrs. Keith knew early on though that he could not live without her and gave Joanne what she always wanted. They were married in the home that they built on January 26th, 2015. While they never had children, Joanne surrounded herself with her animal children. First Gus the dog, and Diesel her cat. The two added Koda and Storm as well as many cats, the latest being Luna and Jack.
Joanne will be forever missed by her loving husband Keith. Left to mourn are her in-laws Iggy and Aggy Meckelborg, sister in-law Nicole Meckelborg and nephews Mackenzie and Logan Francis. The Pisio family, sister in-law Charleen Pisio, children Ian (Shayla Peters) Raeleen (Cole) Nolin, great nieces and nephew, Rosalie, Ryker, Charlie, and Atlas. Her brothers, Mike Pisio, children Josh and Kaitlin. Joe (Gerry), Children Emily and Luke. Her closest friend and second family, Bobbi (Royan) Stewart and family.
Joanne will also be dearly missed by her Saskatoon City Police family in which she was an active member at the time of her passing.
Joanne was predeceased by her eldest brother Rick Pisio on March 27th, 2020.
Joanne will be laid to rest at a later time, in an intimate family gathering at St. John’s Columbarium on Spadina Cres in Saskatoon, SK.
Joanne also had a great love for animals and would have saved them all if she could. In lieu of flowers and sympathy cards, donations can be made to the SPCA or any animal rescue in her name.
Keith and all the family would like to thank everyone for all the support, condolences, kind words.
