John Stuart Colwell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that John Stuart Colwell passed away with family by his side on November 18, 2021 at the age of 74. John is predeceased by his parents Marion and Arthur Colwell; sisters Dorothy Trenholm and Donna Harkins; brother Rodney Colwell who passed away at infancy; brother-in-laws Tasso Markides and Earl Trenholm, as well as many aunts and uncles. John is survived by his wife Loretta, daughters Crystal (Tim Carlson) Candace (Nathan Clarke); son Shaun; daughters Kathie (Russell Goodman), Tracy (George Majczak) and Tina; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Along with sisters Barbara (Edward) Corliss; Bari Markides; Beverly (Garnet) Allen; Crysti (Percy) Dahlgren and brother Brian (Gerri Lundrigan) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. John enjoyed camping, on-line poker, putzing on the computer, sports, politics, keeping in touch with family down east, hanging around with family and friends; John also had a love for gardening and outside lawn work. John was a truck driver for several years, last one being Tuff Turf, that was the most enjoyable for him. Family was most important in his life especially in his later life. A Funeral Service will be held at St. John Bosco Catholic Parish (1202 Avenue O South) on Saturday June 11, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Chelsea Krentz. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
