It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear dad, John “Jack” Dent on December 15, 2021. Dad was born in Prince Albert on December 26, 1931. He resided most of his life in Saskatoon, taking an early retirement at the age of 55 from CNCP. Allowing him more time to spend on projects and hobbies. Dad loved going on fishing tournaments with his favorite fishing partner, his son Glen. He loved car racing which was also a family event. He also enjoyed bird watching at the lake. His true passion was music, playing guitar with his friends and band mates over the years which brought happiness to many people. Dad was everyone’s go-to phone call for advice and help with projects. He was truly a jack of all trades. He always put others first before himself and was known and loved for his generosity and kindness. We are grateful he found love and companionship with Carol Murphy, they were great together and we are thankful they found eachother. Dad is predeceased by his wife Sharon and son Glen. Survived by his three sisters, Doreen, Margaret and Stella; and two brothers Keith and Brian; his children Gordie, Cindy (Tony) and family; Tricia (Travis) and family; and Glen’s children along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and loving companion Carol.
