John passed away on Friday, November 14th, 2014 at the age of 92 years. Born March 21, 1922 to Josephine and Alfred Giles in St. Paul's Hospital, he was the youngest of five sons. John was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Harvey, Lawrence, Wilfred and Robert; and wife, Delores (Hessel). John and three of his brothers were in World War II. After his three year tour of duty in the Navy, John joined City of Saskatoon transit system, retiring after 36 years. John is survived by sons, Ronald and John (Barb); grandchildren, Jillian and Brittany; and two great-grandchildren, Tre and Tayla. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jack may be directed to the Royal Canadian Legion - Branch #362 (Nutana) (3021 Louise Street, Saskatoon, SK S7J 3L1). The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19th at Windsor Chapel (704 Windsor Street). Lunch, followed by Interment in Smithville Cemetery.
