John Sapieha

April 10th, 1940 - May 15, 2016.

We are saddened to announce that our loving husband and father passed away peacefully at Porteous Lodge on Sunday May 15th. He is survived by loving wife Jeanette and faithful pet Cuddles, children Phil (Val) Ozeroff, Sharon (Brian) Shortt, Donna Sapieha, Wes Sapieha (Sue Davidson), James (Melanie) Sapieha, Ruby Sapieha, grandchildren Shannon Shortt, Adam (Melissa) Shortt, Nicole (Chris) Robinson, Joline (Anthony) Bear, Jade (Steven) Tomlenovich, Robin (Tyson) Baergen, Cody Adamson, Micaela Sapieha, Dana Sapieha, Lathan Sapieha, Jamie Sapieha, Josh Sapieha, great-grandchildren London & Lincoln Robinson, Blakelyn Bear, Carver Baergen, sisters Mary Michayluk and Emily Forde as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sister-in-laws. John was predeceased by his parents Joseph & Katherine, brother Paul and sister Tilly. John was born in Krydor, SK and grew up on the family farm before moving to Saskatoon. He loved to spend his time hunting, fishing and skidooing, but most importantly loved the company of his family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA on John’s behalf. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Windsor Chapel (704 Windsor St) with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery with Very. Rev. Janko Kolosnjaji presiding.
