John is predeceased by his first wife Frances; parents William and Edna; sister May and brother-in-law Tom.
After Frances' passing, John was lucky to find his best friend and second wife Patricia.
John was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He moved to Saskatoon where he met his first wife Frances. John worked at Davies Electric as a salesman, then working at Kramer Ltd. for 33 years where he was a parts person. He retired from Kramer in 2005.
John's treasure in life was when his first granddaughter Rebecca was born. They enjoyed spending a lot of time together. You could see the sparkle in his eye when someone asked about her. John loved all his grandchildren.
John's joys in life were creating things out of wood. There wasn't too much that he couldn't figure out how to build. John also enjoyed taking pictures. He always had his camera with him. John also had a love for scotch. John also loved his football especially the Patriots and Saskatchewan Roughriders. He enjoyed having friends and family over for a meal or to sit around the fire in the backyard.
A Celebration of John's life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024 at Acadia Funeral Chapel (915 Acadia Drive, Saskatoon).
Special thanks to John's family doctors Meredith McKague and David El-Sabaway, his special friend Louise, the palliative care team and SARBI.
