Julian ""Julie"" Beatrice Dixon

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Julie at St. Paul’s Hospital on March 7, 2016, with her family by her side. Julie was born November 20, 1936 in Saskatoon, SK, to John and Dora Kral. Julie was raised in Biggar and attended St. Gabriel’s convent. Later she worked in P.A. at a hatchery and took a secretarial course in Saskatoon. Julie worked at SaskPower as a clerk for many years until her health made her take early retirement.

Julie married Robert Dixon on January 15, 1973 and was immediately blessed with 4 teenagers. When Bob retired they moved to Creston, BC and remained there for 10 years. Julie was happy to move back to Saskatchewan and closer to family. They relocated in Aberdeen and remained there until her health failed, and she had to be moved to Parkridge Centre.

Julie loved all animals, large and small, this often included odd pets like roosters, and donkeys. She loved the yearly birthday party for Bob and the live entertainment or “the orchestra” as she called it.

Julie is survived by her loving husband, Bob; four children, Lynn (Doug), Laurel (Ray), Cheryl (Brian) and Roy (Andrea); grandchildren Erika (Randy), Dana (Ryan), Christa (Darrin), Brenna (Tyler), Chad (Janine), Theresa, Bonnie, Trina (Dallon), Jory (Samantha), Robert, Nikki; 9 great-grandchildren; two brothers John (Joanne) and Fred (Linda); and many nieces and nephews. Julie was predeceased by her parents John and Dora Kral; and infant grandson Brett.

We wish to thank the staff of Parkridge Centre for the compassion and care given to Julie while she was there. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society (301 - 2550 12th Ave, Regina, SK S4P 3X1).

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church (114 Kingsmere Place, Saskatoon, SK) on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held in Biggar Cemetery on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.
