Juliette was born August 16,1942 in the small French village of Zenon Park, Saskatchewan to Leopold and Violet Chabot nee Perrault. She was the second child and first daughter of 9 children and spent her early years helping her mother to care for the home and younger siblings. She often said that they did not have much growing up but was blessed with a close-knit extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins who lived in the community.
In 1963, Juliette met and married Francis Bouchard and made the move across the province to begin a life on a farm in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan. There, they raised 5 children and she became stitched into the fabric of the community. She was a hard worker and could always be counted on to volunteer, cook, bake, or clean when needed, all while managing 5 busy children. She enjoyed the social aspect of these tasks as it involved hours of visiting and enjoying the company of her many wonderful neighbours and friends.
Juliette loved to watch sports. It began with her many hockey playing brothers and the Montreal Canadiens and continued with her children and grandchildren’s many endeavours. She loved to watch figure skating and curling and enjoyed hitting the ice herself for many years. Juliette loved music and dancing and was an excellent cook, baker, and seamstress, although she would deny it! In her later years she enjoyed quilting and each grandchild has one of her special creations.
Juliette was an active member of the Catholic church and held her faith close to her heart. That faith gave her great comfort throughout her life.
Juliette was predeceased by her husband, Francis and a newborn son, Christopher. A brother, Laurent, and sister Lise, as well and many sisters and brother's in-law.
