Kevin will be remembered for his unmistakable dry sense of humor, often delivered with perfect timing and a subtle smile that left those around him both amused and comforted. He often said, “I didn’t fight with my fists, I fought with my wits”, a philosophy he carried from his younger years growing up in Hanley when faced with conflict.
Kevin was an avid armchair sports fan, particularly devoted to the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Toronto Blue Jays. He rarely missed a chance to cheer on his team. He had a lifelong fascination with the Sasquatch and often spoke about his hope of one day seeing one in real life.
Above all, Kevin cherished his family. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Linda, his children, Brett (Stephanie) and Jillian (Christian), of whom he was extremely proud, his first granddaughter Clara, and Sophie, his beloved dog, all of whom will carry forward his humor and unique perspective on life.
Kevin wished to be remembered simply as a “decent guy who liked to fly under the radar,” a sentiment that reflects the quiet humility and integrity with which he lived.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Bibby, Dr. Manna, and the compassionate healthcare team at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre and Palliative Homecare for their care and support.
A Celebration of Kevin’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Augustana Lutheran Church (1201 Broadway Ave, Saskatoon). A Private Family Graveside will be held prior to the Celebration.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saskatoon Cancer Centre in Kevin’s memory.
