She leaves to mourn her husband of 60 years, John; son David (Marlys); daughter Lori Ulrich (Perry); granddaughter Lianna Mackinnon (Andre); great-grandson Eric; granddaughter-in-law Harmonie Ulrich; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her grandson Preston Ulrich; sisters Mary and Elizabeth; brothers Fred and George; and her parents Anastasia and Andrew Bloodoff. Born in Verigin, SK in June 1936, Laura attended Teacher’s College in Moose Jaw, graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Masters of Education and enjoyed a 40-year career as a classroom teacher, resource teacher, consultant and coordinator of student services, in various school divisions, retiring from the Saskatoon Catholic Board of Education in 1996. Her accomplishments in education went beyond the classroom, speaking and lecturing at regional, provincial, and national conferences and seminars. Laura was very accomplished in many areas enjoying travelling, quilting, reading and most of all spending time with family and friends. Her grandchildren were the love of her life.
