

Len passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 27, 2017 from St. Paul’s Hospital. Len will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his wife of 49 years Lynn; three sons: Dean, Mike and Brent; grandchildren: Paige, Taylor, Zach and step grandson, Matt Doebler; Paige & Taylor’s mother, Tara Klassen; Brothers: Ike, Les (Carole), Lyle, Wayne, Mert (Cheryl), Gary (Lorraine) and Rich (Linda); two sister-in-laws Shirley and Emily Kreller (Garry); Special friends, Charlie and Sue Cairns, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Len was predeceased by his parents, Cornelius and Anne; brothers: Neil and Deed; sisters: Anne, Mary and Sarah and daughter-in-law, Berni Doerksen.
Family was always very important to Len including his Saskatoon Quaker Hockey Club family. Len played an instrumental part in starting the Saskatoon Quakers in 2000 and was very active with the team until his passing. Len had a passion for golfing, fishing, spending time at the cabin and the Montreal Canadians. Len was very active in ball and hockey starting back in his teenage years. Anyone who had the chance to meet Len knew he had a great sense of humor.
Len had many accomplishments in life, one being an electrician. Len started as an electrician in 1968 with Hickson & Morgan Electric and opened his own business, AIM ELECTRIC with his partners in 1983, retiring in 2015.
A Celebration of Len’s Life will be held Thursday August 31, 2017 at 1:00 PM from Harold Latrace Arena, 1371 Fletcher Rd, Saskatoon. With hockey being a very important part of Len’s life, we ask that you wear your favorite team jersey and dress casual, but warm, the rink will be chilly.
