Leo died peacefully in his sleep on January 19, 2017 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Prince Albert on January 1, 1952. He was predeceased by his father, Edgar in 1975 and his mother, Helene (nee Dumais) in 2007. He will be missed by his 3 brothers, Guy (Lorraine), Nil (Elise) and Martin (Shirley Fabish); his 4 sisters, Elise (Paulin Beaulac), Jeanne (Mike Clarke), Claire (Leonard Lewko) and Donna (Perry Goldstone); and his numerous nephews and nieces. Leo worked in the mines in Pine Point, NWT and the oil plants in Fort McMurray. He later honed his carpentry skills in Saskatoon and Vancouver. Thanks to the staff at St. Paul’s Hospital and the TSU at City Hospital for the special care given to Leo over the past years. Interment will be in Debden cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre (306-955-1600).
