May 24, 1939 – May 22, 2020
Leslie “Burke” Liebrecht was born in Yorkton, SK to Samuel and Vivian Liebrecht and was the youngest of three children. Burke was predeceased by his parents, sister Joy Balicki, brother John Liebrecht and his wife, Beverley. He will live on in the loving memories of his family, Cameron Liebrecht, Monte (Juanita) Liebrecht, Stuart (Linda) Liebrecht, numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and close friends.
Most of Burke’s younger years were spent in Prince Albert where he graduated from High School. Following High School he went on to have a number of different jobs including a salesman for Imperial Tobacco, Store Manager for OK Economy, and finally working for the Saskatoon Correctional Center for 19 years where he retired in 1999. Burke met his wife Beverley in Saskatoon and they were married in 1963.
Burke was always involved in his sons’ sports either transporting them to games and practices or on occasion coaching their hockey teams. He loved working in his wood working shop and after his retirement he and Bev would spend many hours “going for coffee” with their friends.
A Private Memorial Service for immediate family will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donation made in Burke’s name to the Canadian Blood Services as he was a frequent blood donor. Arrangements in care of David Schurr - Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200
