Bob passed away peacefully at the Dalmeny Spruce Manner Special Care Home on June 13, 2014 with his family at his side. He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Marj; daughter Orileen; son Monty (Houkje); three sisters Terry, Nel, and Vera; special people Jason, Lindsay and their families; many nieces and nephews and their families. While in the army Bob spent three years in Germany rebuilding after WWII. He was employed by the Canadian Pacific for 40 years in the car department, retiring as a foreman. He so enjoyed his hobby in the bee field, and doing the “honey” bit. He was always there for his family when needed. Bob was a very private person and never liked being “center stage”, so a Graveside Service with family was his wish. No flowers please, instead make a donation to a favorite charity of your choice if you so wish. Arrangements entrusted to Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre (306)955-1600.
