

With great sadness, the family of Lin Foon Lam Fung announces her passing at home on Wednesday, October 8, 2015, at the age of 84. Lin leaves behind her daughter, May (Eric) UnRuh of Saskatoon; her son, Bing (Christine) Fung of Saskatoon; her sister Lam Mee Kam of Milwaukee; her mother-in-law, Cheung Yee Mui of Saskatoon; and her grandchildren, Brook Fung, Katherine Fung & Paige UnRuh. She is predeceased by her father, Lam Teen Bo; her mother Zhong Sie Ping; her husband, Kam Hung Fung and her granddaughter, Lindsey UnRuh. Lin was born in Sun Wue, Goo Tsang, Canton, China on December 30, 1930. She married Kam in 1951 and along with their two children, immigrated to Canada as refugees in August of 1962. After much hard work, Lin & Kam successfully opened up a restaurant, Canton Kitchen, in 1967. They owned and operated the business for 28 years, finally retiring in 1995. Despite retiring from the business, she continued to cook wonderful meals for friends and family. These meals have become memories that will be deeply cherished forever. She will be sadly missed by all and forever remembered in our hearts. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Windsor Chapel, 704 Windsor St. Internment will be in the new Chinese Section of Woodlawn Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Saskatchewan Branch (1-2217 Hanselman Crt Saskatoon SK S7L6A8) would be greatly appreciated.
