Linda Pearl Collins

Our hearts are heavy with great sadness as we announce the passing of Linda Pearl Collins (nee Crawford) on Monday, November 26, 2024, at the age of 74. She passed away peacefully with all her family by her side. Linda was a beloved mother, sister, grandma, and friend. Her warmth, kindness, love, and light touched the lives of all she met.

Linda was born on May 7, 1950, to Denis and Pearl Crawford. She was born and raised in Charlottetown, PEI, and eventually moved to Hamilton, Ontario. In 1974, she moved with her family to Saskatoon.

Linda’s career involved working throughout Saskatoon as an Administrative Assistant for the Saskatoon Public School Division. She was very dedicated to her career and contributed to the success of many Saskatoon schools. She eventually retired in 2018. During her retirement, Linda found passion in being a part of her Tuesday Bible Study group and a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Womens League (CWL). She was always ready to lend a helping hand, share her faith, and pray with her church community. Linda loved being able to spend time with her children, their spouses, her partner, grandchildren, and friends. She enjoyed having dinners, and visits, and watching her family follow their passions. She loved having weekly phone calls with her best friends Wanita and Colleen where they would talk for hours about what was happening that week.

Linda was a strong and faithful woman. She was diagnosed with leukemia in October of 2024. Through countless blood transfusions and many treatments, she remained positive and faithful throughout her battle with cancer. Her family, friends, and God were beside her until she passed gracefully in the early morning on November 26, 2024.

Linda is survived by her two children: William (Dominique) Collins, and Bilinda (Jason) Hilkewich, six grandchildren (Jayda, Damaris, Ava, Liam, Jonah, and Jacob), partner Mike Wallace, Brother Kent Crawford, and a community of friends and extended family. She is predeceased by her Father Denis, Mother Pearl, Sister Karen, and Brother Rick.

A Prayer Service will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. Fr. David Tumback will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 3, at 11:00 a.m. Both services will be held at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Parish, 3339 Centennial Drive, Saskatoon, SK.
