Lionel Loiselle

January 20, 1944 - April 20, 2014

Lionel, age 70, passed away at Royal University Hospital with his family at his side. He is survived by his wife, Irene; brothers Laurent (Bernadette) Loiselle, Guy (Armande) Loiselle; sisters, Lorraine (Lance) Janson, Jeannette (Joe) Denis, Claire (Eugene) Denis; sister-in-law, Rita Loiselle (Roland Riel) and many nieces and nephews; three step-daughters, Jodi Gordon, Tracey (Victor) Johnson and Liz (Elizabeth) Gordon. He was predeceased by his parents Felix and Germaine; his brother Paul Loiselle, sister Delia, and infant brother Paul.   Lionel was born and raised in Vonda and in 1982 he and his mother Germaine moved to Saskatoon, SK and lived on Waterloo Crescent.  Irene and Lionel met in May of 1993 on a bus trip to North Battleford to a bowling tournament.  They were married on October 25, 1997.  They spent 16 wonderful years before Lionel ended up in a private care home.  He has now left this life and gone to a better place.  We miss you and love you very much Lionel but we know we will see you again.   A Prayer Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (1429 10th St. E, Saskatoon) on Thursday April 24th at 2:00 pm.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Phillippe de Neri Roman Catholic Church in Vonda, SK on Friday April 25th at 10:00 am.
