Lorina Dorothy Leniuk

Lorina Dorothy (nee Wruck) passed away peacefully at St. Paul's Hospital in Palliative Care on January 9, 2016 at the age of 76 years, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband Peter Leniuk (Jan.2013); her parents William and Helen Wruck; sister Anne Scott; and brothers Otto, Harold and Donald Wruck. She is survived by her siblings, brother Martin (Darlene) Wruck, sisters Leona (Victor) Neufeld and Dahlia (Walter) Stevenson; her children Jason (Debbie) Leniuk, Kathie (Doug) Ozar, Patti (Gary) Sears, Bonnie Leniuk, Tim (Anita) Leniuk; grandchildren Curtis Sears (Sharlene Bishop), Ryan (Kristen Seidle), Dillon and Brittany Ozar (Charlie Tapp), Megan (Layken Heidt), Amy and Matthew Leniuk; great grandchildren Marcus Ozar and Sensi Sears; as well as her only surviving uncle, Albert Kuyath and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Lorina was born to William and Helen Wruck in Aberdeen, SK at her Uncle Gus and Auntie Pauline Wruck's house on the farm. She attended Bergheim School until Grade 9 where she actively participated in sports such as softball. Early on Mom began babysitting then started working at Modern Laundry and Waldman and Paul Sewing Factory. She married her soul mate and love of her life, Peter, on November 8, 1958. Lorina was a stay-at-home mother for her 5 children until she went to work at Co-operative College in 1970 and then on to Co-op Trust (now Concentra)as the Cafeteria Manager until 1995, at which time she retired at the age of 55. Some of Mom's joys in life included cooking/baking, gardening, dancing, fishing/camping trips, playing cards, doing puzzles and spending time with family. She has been an inspiration to her family and will be forever remembered by all. In keeping with Lorina's wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Acadia McKague's Funeral Center (915 Acadia Drive, Saskatoon, SK). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Homecare Palliative Team (201-310 Idylwyld Drive Saskatoon, SK. S7L 0Z2, 306-655-4300).
