Louis Chipeur

Louis was born January 12, 1934 in Melville,SK, son of Albert and Julia Chipeur (nee Osicki).

Louis received his education to grade eight in a country school in the area.

Louis worked in Regina, SK then moved to Calgary, Alberta and later Lethbridge. In later years he moved back to Humboldt, SK and finally Saskatoon, SK.

Louis joined a square dancing club in Calgary. He enjoyed attending seniors’ dances when he moved back to Saskatoon. Louis also enjoyed gardening, berry picking and making jams and jellies. He enjoyed being outdoors and was very handy. One of his passions was researching and recording family history. Louis also did some travelling though the USA and Canada.

Louis leaves to mourn his death and celebrate his life: Brother Daniel Chipeur (Betty) of Edmonton, AB; Brother Joe Chipeur (Janet) of Regina, SK and Sister Clara Slipiec of Melfort, SK.

Nieces and nephew; Anita Quinn, Christina Florizone, Theresa Chipeur, Bernadette Sheedy, Valerie Doran, Marie Slipiec, Kathleen Kirilenko and Michael Slipiec.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Augustine Parish (602 Boychuk Dr, Saskatoon, SK) on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. The celebrant will be Fr. Darryl Millette. Rite of Committal will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
