It is with sadness that the family of Margaret Loraine Harrington announces
her passing on Friday, September 15th. She is survived by her two sons: Frank Jr. (Lynda) of Saskatoon and David (Patricia Bean) of Gibsons, BC; five granddaughters: Megan (Kelly Kroes), Adriane Harrington, Julia Harrington (Reiner Schaefer), Robin Harrington (Mike Baxter) and Vanessa Harrington; grandson-in-law Jason Jennett; and three great-grandchildren: Theodore, Madeleine and Dornan. She was predeceased by: her loving husband of sixty-seven years, Frank Sr.; parents Eric Thor and Robina Sigvaldason; her brother Eric; sister-in-law Evelyn; her sister Elinor; brother-in-law Milt; and loving granddaughter Leslie Harrington-Jennett.
Margaret was born in Winnipeg, MB in 1928, moving to Saskatoon with her family in 1938. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, her life revolved around her family. Margaret and Frank Sr. shared many interests including music, travelling, camping, gardening, crafts and relaxing at their Pike Lake cottage, but their greatest joy was time spent with family and friends. They particularly enjoyed attending the many activities and special events in which their beloved grandchildren were involved. A kind, caring person, Margaret was a long-time member of Third Avenue United Church, a member of the Orpheus 60 Chorus, a member of the Allspice Trio for several years and a past member of the Saskatoon Soroptimist International Club.
At Margaret’s request, a private family service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
