With deep sadness we announce that Margaret passed away peacefully at St. Ann’s Home at the age of 94. Margaret is survived by her brother Eugene (Alice) Bader; son-in-law Iain Rowan; 2 step-daughters Colleen and Shirley and their families from the West Coast; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews in Saskatoon, Thunder Bay, Ottawa and St. John’s, Newfoundland. She was predeceased by her husband Jay McPherson; and her daughter Nolene Rowan. Grandma Marg was raised in Rapid View and moved to Meadow Lake. She then came to Saskatoon and spent her working years at Eaton’s Department Store. She had many pursuits including working at the Friendship Inn, was a member of the Catholic Women’s League and The Royal Purple. Grandma Marg worked tirelessly for everyone, friends and family alike. She had many family meals at her house and get togethers which were always a great spread. Margaret spent her final years at St. Ann’s Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church (535 – 8th St. E.) in Saskatoon. Grandma will be sorely missed by all.
