Melvin Ross Hufsmith

At the age of 77, surrounded by the love of his family May 11th 2015, we bid our last farewell to our handsome Dad, Grandpa, Brother and Friend. Melvin Ross Hufsmith is survived by his daughter Cheryl Kilborn, her children Shane and Jenna; his sons Randy & Colleen Hufsmith Lucanio & their daughter Reena, Rick & Sheila Hufsmith Rutherford, their children Scott, Brad and Micaela; sisters Lorraine Hufsmith, Phyllis Hamre, brother Ray & Denise Hufsmith along with many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dad was predeceased by his parents Floyd & Mary Hufsmith, and brother Jack Hufsmith. He was born September 6th 1937 in Canwood, SK. Mel was the second youngest of five children. Times were tough in the 30's but his young life was filled with the unconditional love of his parents and siblings. Dad enjoyed the acreage life, dancing, tinkering with machinery, vehicles and of course every stray or borrowed puppy dog that crossed his path or called his place home. Dad worked hard with a great bunch, in the sheet metal trade until his retirement. His humor and the mischievous twinkle in his eye will be missed by all who knew him.  The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16 at Windsor Chapel, 704 Windsor Street.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the SPCA, 5028 Clarence Ave, Saskatoon S7T 1A7.  Arrangements in care of MOURNING GLORY FUNERAL SERVICES 306-978-5200
