Melvin (Mel) Cecil Robinson passed away May 1st, 2020 in Saskatoon. He was born in Saskatchewan in 1930 and grew up in North Battleford with brother Lloyd and sister Grace. Mel became a Christian and was called to the ministry of the Salvation Army with his wife Marilyn. After many years of ministry, Mel joined Saskatchewan Justice and served as a Probation Officer and then Regional Director of Community Corrections until he retired. He continued to serve and support the ministry of The Salvation Army as long as he was able. After the passing of Marilyn, Mel married Lorna who is his loving spouse. Mel had 4 children: Ron (Sue), Randy (Joy), Marsha (Al), and Rick (Michelle). He has 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Part of Mel’s legacy was a family who all knew that his first love was Jesus. Mel had multiple interests and hobbies including woodwork, back country adventures, music, sports, cross-country skiing and travel. There will be a Celebration of Mel’s Life at a later date.
