Merle Vivian Ward (née Wiley), 82, passed away peacefully in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on May 7, 2025, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born in Melville, SK to Katie and Herb Wiley, she was raised on the family farm near Saltcoats.
Merle had a deep love for sewing, gardening, crocheting, crafting, preserving food, and growing orchids. She was especially passionate about genealogy, dedicating countless hours to tracing and preserving family history.
She will be dearly missed by her beloved husband of 62 years, Dale; her sisters Vicky and Millie; her children Kyle (Takako) and Kim (Gary); and her grandchildren Logan (Peter) and Caden. She was predeceased by her brother Art Wiley, Sister-in-law Allie, brother-in-law Dan and her parents Herb and Katie.
