Our father will be greatly missed. Even though he was struggling with his own illness, he opened up his heart for us to comfort him at his lowest point in his life. He always remembered that he worked at Robin Hood and was a forklift driver. He wore the Robin Hood jacket every day of his life, for this represented who he was and his pride in his work.
He loved eating, especially my mother’s cooking and baking and would always be sneaking cookies and pie out of the fridge.
He also enjoyed Bingo and shopping. There was never a shortage of toilet paper, paper towel and Kleenex.
He valued hard work and instilled this in all of us.
We will miss your goofy jokes and your strength that you have provided for us all these years. Love you Dad. May you rest in peace.
Also a special thanks to the wonderful staff on the 5th floor of RUH. Our father had the best care in his last days of his life. You are angels.
