Mildred Helen MacGillivray (Graham) passed away the morning of August 15, 2022, peacefully with family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Malcolm, and two sons Garfield and Stanley as well as a great grandson, Kody Prevost. She is survived by son Robert (Janet) and grandchildren Ryan MacGillivray and family, Saskatoon, and granddaughter Tanys Mosher and family, Kemptville Ontario; daughter in law Lynn MacGillivray, Quill Lake and grandson Michael and family, Emma Lake, grand daughter Terri MacGillivray and family, Red Deer Alberta; grandson Sean MacGillivray and family (mother Patricia Loeppky) Yellowknife) and grandson Malcolm (Mother Jane MacGillivray) Sherwood Park.
Mildred attended Bradburn country school outside Quill Lake and then moved to finish high school while living with her grandfather at Melfort. She then attended Teachers College in Saskatoon and taught for one year at Foam Lake. She then joined the RCAF and was stationed at Halifax tracking ships and aircraft off the east coast. After being discharged she married Malcolm and began the job of raising three sons. In 1952 she returned to teaching at North Star country school and remained for 5 years. She later moved to Quill Lake and continued teaching at Gardinia country school. She then moved to town to teach in a grade one classroom until 1978. She later took a temporary teaching position at Gilliam Manitoba where she returned to teach for the next 4 years.
She then moved to Saskatoon where they made many lifelong friends. She enjoyed life to the fullest and was blessed with 13 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
