He will be missed immensely by his wife Lois, of 66 years, his children Terry, Scott (Pat), Graham (Irene) and Jocelyn (Bryn). His pride and joy….his grandchildren Michael (Allisha), Brennan, Rejan, Des, Vaughn, Jodie, Aaron and Liam and of course his great-grandchildren Madden and Mariah.
Predeceased by his parents Geoffrey and Effie Bartlett, brother Lloyd and sister Eileen, he leaves to mourn his brothers Roy and Robert and many nieces and nephews.
He was greatly respected in the business world and admired for his kind and giving nature in every aspect of his life. He loved to be involved in basketball, whether as a volunteer coach for high school or ‘Grandpa Coach’ for his grandchildren’s elementary teams. He also loved to play when he had the time.
Neil was a hunter from the beginning. Fall came and he was gone to bring home the ‘meat for the winter’. He took pride when his children and grandchildren accompanied him on numerous outdoor adventures. Neil had many hunting buddies who became wonderful friends over the years. Of course, we all listened to his hunting stories, over and over and over again, but he just lit up when he told them!
Neil also had a great sense of humor. He loved the opportunity to make you laugh.
Neil was a gardener to the core. He loved to boast about his massive tomatoes, his abundance of beans and of course, his Saskatoon berries, all of which he was willing to share with whomever ventured into his yard.
Dad’s mind was good to the end, but his body had other plans for him. He will be joining some great people in heaven.
Love you more than the universe…
