Pat Fleury of Asquith, and formerly of Saskatoon and Craik, died on August 3, 2016 after a long struggle with cancer. Beloved only child of, and predeceased by Bus and Maxine Tulloch of Craik, Pat is survived by good friend Terry Johnstone and cousins Marjorie Reimer, Marilyn McPherson and Joyce Gunther all of Saskatoon. Pat was born on February 9, 1943 and had a glorious childhood growing up on the family farm southwest of Craik. There she developed the love of animals that sustained her through life. She was an avid horsewoman in her youth, actively participating in stake and barrel racing and gymkana. The family terrier, Nipper, so intrigued her that her whole adult life revolved around the breeding and raising of Welsh Terriers. She was well known in Canadian Kennel Club for her beautifully bred dogs. Over the years, she and her dogs were in many dog shows and won many awards. Pat spent most of her life doing bookkeeping and accounting for businesses around Saskatoon. As she was known to be a perfectionist, she was highly prized in this role. She worked up until the time her cancer made it impossible for her to do so. The family would like to thank the staffs at RUH Oncology, St. Paul’s Palliative care and Stensrud Lodge for the care provided. She was so grateful for all your care. At Pat’s request there will be no service. Donations, in Pat’s name, would be appreciated to Saskatoon SPCA (5028 Clarence Avenue South Grasswood SK S7T 1A7).
